Director
Ashley Sharp began her dancing career at the age of 4. In high school, she
was a part of the award winning Desoto Eaglettes and was named Captain
her senior year.
To gain more knowledge about dance, Ms. Sharp continued to pursue her
love for dancing in college. She attended Stephen F. Austin, where she
received her Bachelors Degree in Dance with a concentration in Teaching
and a Minor in Health Science. While in college, she joined the SFA Dance
Teams and danced under the direction of TJ Maple. She was on Jack
Attack for 3 years and during her last year on the SFA Dance Teams, she
was named Captain. During her time at SFA, her team was named National
Champions TWO TIMES at Nationals in Daytona, Florida!
Under the Direction of Ms. Sharp, the Lariats have won Nationals, in the JV category, 3 times in a row! In 2019, the Lariats placed 4th places Best of the Best at Nationals beating out Varsity teams. Ms. Sharp hopes that she can can continue to build the Lariat legacy and help her students find a passion for dance.
This will be Ms. Sharp's 5th year at Sachse.
